Spring Break!

The absolute best part of working for a school district is that I get all of the same holidays that the kids do. Which means a two week break at Christmas and spring break! This break is much needed as my feet have been killing me after work everyday. Anyway, I've got lots of plans for the week: a trip to the library, thrifting at my local antique mall, sewing, and grooming the dog.

Learning to cross stitch was also on the list since I picked up small kit the other day but I already did that last night. I strayed from the pattern since it was way cheesy. :P I ended up using this kawaii watermelon from Disorderly Stitches and I love the way it turned out! I don't know if I'm going to frame it or not yet but it's just so cute!

Tell me that is not the most adorable thing ever! I'm pretty proud of my self considering it was the first thing I've ever made. Definitely better than my first attempts at knitting, crochet, and sewing!

Moving on, checking out the antique mall down the highway from me is definitely on my to-do list this week. I can't believe I've never been! While I'll probably end up wearing jeans and a tee, this is what I wish I could wear on my thrifting adventures:
