Liebster Award Nomination

Woohoo! I was nominated for a Liebster Award by Jess of Milky Robot. I feel so honored to be thought of!

What is this, you ask?  Merely an award given to bloggers, by bloggers who admire others' work, and want to encourage readership to smaller blogs, who deserve more followers.  I am so grateful and honored to be involved.  Basically, I answer eleven questions given to me by Jess, and then I come up with eleven random facts about myself, and then I nominate others to receive the award.  

1. What's your favorite place to eat?

I have a bad addiction to Taco Bell. I know, it's horrible but I just crave tostadas an the Doritos tacos. I also love Panda Express!

2. If you could pick, what would be your dream job?

I would absolutely love to own a vintage shop. Fashion is a serious interest of mine and I've been obsessed with vintage clothing since high school. I'd also like to own a yarn shop! Maybe 2 in 1? ;)

3. Who or what inspired you to get into blogging?

I'm a rather talkative and loud individual and I always feel like sharing my opinion. While there are tons of bloggers out there, I still wanted to have my little corner of the internet.

4. How would you describe your perfect day?

Hanging out with my bestie, Wendy, and thrift shopping, eating, and playing with dolls. You know, all the fun stuff!
 
5. Who is your biggest inspiration?

My parents. They are 23 years apart in age yet I cannot think of two people more suited to the term soulmates. They have been through so much and yet have stood strong by each other's side no matter the storm. I feel truly blessed to have them as my parents.

6. If you had a million dollars, what would you do with it?

Buy my parents a house, take a nice vacation, donate some to charity, and save the rest!  

7. What's the craziest thing you've ever done?

I'm a pretty tame person so the craziest thing would probably be trying to pierce my own belly button when I was 13. Needless to say, that didn't turn out good.

8. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?

Paris! I've never been but I have a fantasy of living there with my juliet balcony full of plants. 

9. What was your favorite thing as a kid?

I loved playing dress-up. My grandma had a ton of old clothes that we would play in. My favorite was playing "school teacher" where I had the big floor length black skirt with a white petticoat and white blouse buttoned all the way up. 

10. What's your biggest pet peeve?

People who are inconsiderate of others. It takes two seconds to say "thank you" to someone holding open the door!

11. How has blogging changed your life? 

It's still pretty new so the change hasn't been huge, but I love having a place to dump all my outfit ideas and random crafts. 

11 Random Facts About Me

1. I live in Texas and won't drink sweet tea. Unsweetened all the way!
2. Dogs are one of my favorite things in the world. 
3. I have ODC about picking at my face and nails. 
4. My favorite holidays are Halloween and Christmas.
5. I'm a geography nerd. I would absolutely love to travel the world!
6. This was the first year I didn't need a new prescription since getting glasses at 12. Hooray!
7. My dreams are very vivid and often stick with me after I've woken up. Especially sad/bad dreams. They can affect my mental status for an entire day.
8. I enjoy keeping the company of those who have different beliefs and ways of life from me. It keeps me on my toes. 
9. Blue Bell Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream is my ultimate weakness. That is the BEST mcc ice cream ever!
10. I married my husband 6 months after meeting him. Six years later and I can't imagine being married to anyone else.
11. Reading is one of my favorite pastimes.
