Color Crush: Lemon Chiffon

It's been so nice and warm here in North Texas that I'm craving spring and all the bright colors it brings. Especially yellow!

Polka Dots and Bows

Untitled #249

Untitled #249 by cakewalk queen

I've been eyeing this sweater at Forever21 and decided to make a look around it. The bow featured is from my friends, Rob & Sioux's shop so please stop by there and see the cute bows they have for sale for you and Blythe! If you want to know where anything is from in the pic, just click the link below the picture.

Retail Therapy and Pinterest Faves

You may have noticed things have been a bit slow around here. As you know, last Monday I started my new job and on Thursday I slipped and fell at work, breaking my elbow! It's a small fracture that will heal without a cast, but I have major bruising, a very limited range of motion, and can't lift anything. I also sprained my wrist and had a mild concussion. I'm thankful that I wasn't hurt worse but it's been a crazy past few days.

I thought I'd share some of the things I've been loving on Pinterest lately.

This hilarious octopus doing stranded color work.

Colors are super inspiring to me and right now I'm loving mint paired with orange

This outfit just kills me! The pixelated shirt, the bloomer style shorts, and those fringe boots!
Perfect outfit for a little girl!

I think I may have the quilting bug and I haven't even started one yet. There are just so many to like! Like this gorgeous triangles quilt by Blue is Bleu.

I also got to spend a bit of my christmas money, buying some new bras from Soma (best ever), the Robecca Steam Monster High Doll, and these two awesome things from ModCloth:

The grey dress is a perfect wardrobe staple that can be worn year round and that cardigan has been tempting me for months! I just couldn't resist the lace and gradient yarn. Lucky for me, it stuck around in the the shop and I got it on sale for $35!

That's all the exciting things going on around here.

Color Crush: Pendleton

Welcome to one of my new features! I am completely color obsessed and I'm always seeing things that inspire me. These posts will be all about what I'm loving at the moment.

This tote bag from ModCloth has me drooling. The colors are fresh and the pattern is super trendy right now. I grew up in New Mexico so I'm usually not a fan of southwestern prints but this bag has me changing my mind. The brights are perfect for cheering up a bleak winter day and the charcoal
keep things grounded. Check below the photo for links to everything.
